Ted Pound was one of the radio announcers at CKXL Calgary in 1972. He was also the Production Manager, which meant he did his share of voicing the commercials that advertised businesses.
Later he went to CKIQ Kelowna British Columbia where he spent many years in radio. In 2005 he was part of an application by Sun Country Cable-vision Ltd, to operate an FM Radio Station in Grande Prairie, Alberta. This application was not accepted by the CRTC. He later moved back to Alberta and was business partner of McArthur Fine Furniture in Calgary, Alberta. (married to Theresa, daughter of the family that owned the furniture store)
