Kens Radio Scrapbook is part of the History that involves the Peace Country, northwestern Alberta and northeastern British Columbia. Even though the Radio Scrapbook covers other areas, it is interesting how small the world is, when so many announcers crossed so many of the same paths. Many lived the Radio Dream as a part of life of communicating with others and perfecting ones voice and presentation. Not everyone succeeded with their dream because of a number of things. For many, it was a huge step to leave the radio business, but most found success in another line of work. It is however, gratifying to see some announcers, who after more than thirty years in radio, are now some of the key people in the radio business.

This radio feature is a collection of pictures, information and radio broadcaste recordings over many years that have now been digitized and archived to preserve the original work from deteriorating further.

Most of the photographs and information featured are from from a Photo Radio Scrapbook of Ken Connors. Some images featured are from brochures and promotional material that were the property of the radio station and distributed freely at that time but not with the intent of others profiting from it. Therefore copyrights are featured on all material displayed on Kens Radio Scrapbook web pages to prevent this. All pictures, information and logos are the intellectual property of Ken Connors and/or the companies mentioned or not mentioned and are protected by the respective owners. Unauthorized use of the content on this site is prohibited.

All audio recordings were made legally at the time of employment at each of the licenced radio stations and deemed a legal practice. Most of the radio stations featured on this website are no longer in existence and each piece of audio contributes to part of the radio history archives of Western Canada. All music compositions have been edited and removed as much as possible from the audio recordings, and when a few seconds of any music composition remains, it is regarded as "fair dealing" for the purposes of this documented work.

All time spent on creating Kens Radio Scrapbook is all volunteered with no intent to profit from it. It is also the intent of the creator that no legal rights have been infringed upon as per the copyright act. If that is not the case, please contact this website and the offending content will be removed in a very prompt manner.
