Ted Pound was one of the radio announcers at CKXL Calgary in 1972. He was also the Production Manager, which meant he did his share of voicing the commercials that advertised businesses.
Later he went to CKIQ Kelowna British Columbia where he spent many years in radio. In 2005 he was part of an application by Sun Country Cablevision Ltd, to operate an FM Radio Station in Grande Prairie, Alberta. This application was not accepted by the CRTC.
