Before coming to CKXL-AM Calgary, Dan Gavin worked at CKOM in Saskatoon. At CKXL he was known as DR Dan. He always had the right music to cure what ailed you.
Dan spent about 17 years at CKXL (1970-1987) and continued in radio in Calgary. 2008 he was host to "Those Old Radio Shows" on CHQR Calgary.
