CKNL-AM Fort St John - 1972

Last day at CKNL Fort St John for Ken Connors. .

CKNL
Fort St John, BC

It was Ken Connors last day at CKNL after only 7 months, (early 1973) and was caught on camera throwing up his last newscaste before calling it a day. He would then move on to CFGP Grande Prairie, Alberta. This would be the first of the two times he spent at CFGP.

The CKNL newsroom, had a news wire service (pictured far right) that operated 24 hours a day. You could hear the keys rattling as it printed the news from all over the world. It was the announcers responisiblity to cut the long continuous paper into pieces and file them into the proper piles: Provincial, Canadian and World stories as well as sports and weather.
