In 1975 Ken Connors was working at CJOC Radio and TV in Lethbridge and was offered the mid morning show at CJME AM Regina, Saskatchewan.

"I remember Hart Kirsch (program director of CJME) calling me in Lethbridge saying that I couldn't use the name Ken on the air, as there already were two Ken's on-air at CJME. He wanted to know right then what I wanted to use but I couldn't come up with one. The last thing he said was that if I didn't come up with one he would pick a name for me." -KEN

A few days later, Ken Connors had all his belongings packed in his van, and was listening to CJME as he arrived in the city of Regina. He heard the announcer saying later that night "Chuck Connors" would be making his debute.

"At first I didn't get it that he was talking about me. "

Everyone started referring to Ken as "Chuck Connors the Rifleman" (from the TV series starring Chuck Connors) as he settled into his 9AM -1PM show.
