Chuck Chander started in Radio at CJDC-AM Dawson Creek in the 1960's.....Worked at 630 CHED from 1973-1979. From CHED he worked at radio stations in British Columbia until 1997 when he came back to Edmonton. CFRN-AM 1260 and CHQT. Chuck left Edmonton after CHQT changed to an all news format. He moved to Spain. |
630 CHED Bob McCord did the 3-6PM show on CHED. He left in 1978 to start a new radio station in Edmonton, CISN Country (1982-1988.) Retired from radio and moved to California. Keith James did the 6-9pm show at 630 CHED and then moved to CISN FM Radio, CJCA in the 1990's and CFRN-AM in the early 2000's. He and former CHED Production Manager, Barry Allen purchased Homestead Recorders. Keith was successful in voicing commercials. Barry Allen had the hit single Love Drops and also Armful of Teadybears in the 1960's.
While at CHED, Barry Allen brought his music skills with him and introduced the CHED guys to voice techniques they never heard of before and would never forget. |
