He left to work at CKXL Calgary, then at a number of Radio Stations in Vancouver. CFMI-FM, CJAZ-FM, CKWX and also the Satellite Radio Network Vancouver playing the Oldies Coast to Coast. Most recently he has worked at CISL Vancouver since 1996 while working full time at Sutton Realty. |
630 CHED 1976 -1978

Len Thuesen was known for his knowledge of music as each evening he featured different artists on the 9pm-midnight show on 630 CHED. He moved on to be part of 96 K-Lite FM, also known as CKRA-FM. He did mornings and also was the Program Director. (The station later was known as Mix 96, Big Earl 963, and most recently part of Newcap Broadcasting as 96.3 Capital FM) Len moved to Sales at CFBR-FM Edmonton, The Bear.

Ken Connors 1976-1978 In 1976 Ken Connors arrived from CJME-AM Regina to join the 630 CHED. Many remember Ken Connors doing the Top 40 Countdown Saturday afternoons on CHED. While his main duties were weekends and voicing and producing commercials, his job also included filling in when Bruce Bowie or Chuck Chandler etc were away. Also giving away $100 bills, driving around Edmonton looking for 630 CHED stickers and putting the winners on the air. Left CHED to do mornings at CFGP in 1978 as well as management. Most recently he has his own website DiscoverThePeaceCountry.com as well as works for the Daily Herald Tribune in the Internet Sales Department 2008. |
