CKTA 1570 Taber was on the air and one of the more well known newsmen at that time was Vern Koop.
Brent Seely also did the sports on CKTA. Brent Seely grew up in Lethbridge spending a total of 41 years in radio and television. He was also Sports Director for CJOC Radio and CJLH - TV with the latter part being manager of a number of radio stations.
