On of the well known CFGP disc jockeys during the period around 1978 was Sig Reuter. He was a strong day-time radio announcer as well his deep voice on commercials did him proud. Besides spinning the records on air, part of each announcers job was to appear on-location at different businesses doing cut-ins that let listeners know of the specials going on at that particular store. Sig is pictured (left) doing a live cut-in at a music store located at the Prairie Mall, Grande Prairie. Vinyl records were still what people were buying and there was a good selection of LPs as well as cassettes at this store. Sig Reuter left to work at a radio station on Vancouver Island, BC. |
