CFGP 1973 - COLONEL SANDERS

Ken Connors of CFGP interviews Colonel Sanders live on the radio.

CFGP AM
SUN FM -Rock 97.7
Grande Prairie, Alberta

One of the few times Colonel Sanders had come to the Peace Country, and in 1973 it was a big event in Grande Prairie. Just about everyone had seen him on Television doing the Kentucky Fried Chicken commercials and it was a privilege seeing him in person. Many enjoyed listening to him talk in his southern accent.

This gathering took place at the Kentucky Fried Chicken Store just off 100 Street and 108 Avenue, Grande Prairie. (Colonel Sanders died in 1980)
