2013 Swan Festival - Saskatoon Lake Provincial Park
April, 2013: Hundreds of people of all ages took part in the 15th Annual Swan Festival held at Saskatoon Lake Provincial Park. Many exhibits were on hand while bus tours took groups to see swans in the surrounding lakes and fields.

The last weekend of September and Snipe Lake Community Campground was empty. This campground is located on the east side of Snipe Lake. Lots of improvements since the last time I was here (Video: Sept 30, 2012)

BEAVERLODGE MOTOCROSS RACES
There was lots of action at the Beaverlodge Motocross Racetrack on September 2012, as competitors of all ages competed. Rick Leitner, Beaverlodge President, tells us about the event, plus some of the exciting action is captured in this video.

NORTHERN BOTTLING DEMOLITION
One of the oldest buildings in Grande Prairie was been torn down in August 2012, to make way for new business. The 102 Street Location stood empty for many years.

2012 ANNUAL TIREPRO MUD BOG This event kicked off with a Show and Shine at the Casino and then continued for two more days at the Grande Prairie Airport for the Mud Bog Competition. You can see some of the action of the Mud Boggers as they make their way in the mud pits in this video.

SNOW STORM HITS THE PEACE COUNTRY
April 14, 2012: Many had put away their snow shovels and started booking their tee times at the local golf courses, but Mother Nature gave us another taste of winter. Highway conditions were slippery through-out the Province and a number of vehicles ended up in the ditch. Highway 43 from Whitecourt to Grande Prairie is featured in this video.

Located just north of Dawson Creek, the Kiskatinaw River Bridge is one of the Landmarks you will want to see this summer as you DiscoverThePeaceCountry. It is the 1st wooden curved bridge built in Canada during the 2nd World War, and is still operational today.

2011 OUTLAW EAGLE WORLD JETBOAT MARATHON
July 6, 2011: Many gathered at O'Brien Park, to watch the jetboats race down the Wapiti River, 11 km south of Grande Prairie. The World Jetboat Marathon took place over 9 days starting in Hay River, NWT, then Peace River, Grande Prairie, Fort Assiniboine, Whitecourt, and Fox Creek.

June 2011: Big crowds took in the Grande Prairie Highland Games held at the Macklin Field. The Highland Dance Competition took place most of the day as well as the Athletic Games. The day was perfect for this event. You can watch a video of some of the activities.

March 2011: The 3 Day Peace Country Classic drew good crowds at Evergreen Park. Besides having over 250 Displays and Exhibits, there were a number of activities for the children. DOG SLED RACES January 2011- Dog Sled Races at Evergreen Park, was one of the first events of 2011, in Grande Prairie. There were a number of entries from other parts of Canada, and the two day event offered some great entertainment. You can watch a short video of part of this event with interviews with Irvin Wai, the organizer and Ross Adam, a Dog Sled Racer from Grande Prairie.
