Located on main street of Manning, Alberta is the Visitors Information Centre, as well as the Old Hospital Gallery and Museum, formerly the Battle River Hospital . Battle River Hospital was built by community volunteers in 1937 and operated by Missionairies between North Star and Notikewin, north of Manning Alberta. It was an eight bed facility, which included an operating room and living accommodations for the nurses. A larger hospital was built in 1955 to replace it.
