The Original Hythe Hospital stands on the northeast part of Hythe Alberta next to the Hythe Pioneer facilities. The two-storey hospital was built in 1947 and was converted to a doctor's clinic in 1984 but later became vacant 2009 with the expansion to the Hythe Pioneer Home's senior's lodge. The expansion included new medical offices and a clinic. (photo taken 2013) Note: it was announced in December 2012, that the building would be demolished if someone did not move it. In September 2013, it has been learned that it will be moved to an empty lot between the Village office and the highway. It will become an apartment and teahouse.
