Right along the highway you will see the building Outpost that also has the 5 pin bowling alley in the basement. The building was built in 1954 and was first a dance hall with a 4 lane bowling alley and pool hall. It became Oakford's Hardware in 1969 but closed in the late 1990's. It was renovated and the Outpost re-opened in 2022 with the bowling alley and games room opening in January of 2023. The Outpost has thousands of unique vintage items, original and reproduction, new and previously owned items. Hythe, Alberta.
