The Grande Prairie Storm take part in the 2009 Santa Parade.
The Grande Prairie Storm celebrated their 10th anniversary (2004-2005). A few members of the team took part in the 2005 Santa Parade.

2009-2010 AJHL Awards
AJHL 2009-2010 Most Valuable Player was awarded to Cody Kunyk of Sherwood Park Crusaders. Both Zahn Raubenheimer of the Grande Prairie Storm and Bryce Williamson of the St Albert Steel won the Scoring Champion - Ernie Love Trophy. The Top Goaltender was Travis Rolheiser of the Spruce Grove.
Vincenzo Marozzi and Travis Rolheiser of the Spruce Grove Saints won the Top Team Golatenders - Reebok/CCM Top Team Goaltenders Award. Rookie of the Year - Dick White Trophy was awarded to Dillon Simpson a defenceman with the Spruce Grove Saints. Outstanding Defenceman - W.G. (Bill) Scott Memorial Trophy was Matthew Register of the Bonnyville Pontiacs. Most Dedicated Player - Don McNabbe Memorial Trophy was awarded to Nate Fleming of the Spruce Grove Saints. The Stewy Stewart Memorial Trophy was won by Evan Warner of the Drumheller Dragons. Coach of the Year was Steve Hamilton of the Spruce Grove Saints.
Final Notes of the 2008 Season
THE FINAL GAME:
In March 2008, the Grande Prairie Storms hopes for advancing to the Alberta Junior Hockey Leagues semi-finals were ended at the Canada Games Arena with losing Game 7 to the Spruce Grove Saints. The Saints won the best-of-seven series 4-3 and advanced to face the Fort McMurray Oil Barons in the semi-finals.
GRADUATION:
The Storm bid farewell to eight members of their team in March 2008. The graduating 20-year-olds included, Payton Proskurniak, Blaine Neufeld, Ricky Wong, Dustin Popowich, Chris Baker, Clayton Goodall, Kyle MacDonald and Scott McNeill.
AWARD WINNERS:
Blaine Neufeld was named the team's Most Valuable Player for the Grande Prairie Storm (2007-2008 Season) Clayton Goodall won the Most Valuable Defencemen Award. Blake Clement was the team's Playoff MVP. Both Adam Young and Tanner Fritz split the Rookie of the Year Award. The Hustler Award went to forward Ricky Wong and the Unsung Hero Award winner was Dustin Popowich. The Most Improved Player was forward Dennis Rix while the best Two-Way Player was Carter Rowney.
2007-2008 AJHL
CHAMPIONS
The Camrose Kodiaks defeated the Fort McMurray Oil Barons in 7 games to win their 5th AJHL title in their 11 year history.
April 22, 2009- The Vernon Vipers came to Grande Prairie and defeated the Grande Prairie Storm in a four game sweep to win the Doyle Cup for 2009. Vernon has now won six Doyle cup championships.
2009-2010 GRANDE PRAIRIE STORM
Sunday March 14, 2010 the Grande Prairie Storm season came to an end as the Fort McMurray Oil Barons ended the second round series 4 games to 1.
