ST. CHARLES MISSION CHURCH
In 1867, a Roman Catholic Order, established the St. Charles Mission near Fort Dunvegan with Father Emile Grouard. Next to it is the Rectory which was constructed in 1889 and still stands today. Dunvegan Provincial Park, Alberta.

The Oblates came to Dunvegan expecting the area ot be a major centre but with the decline of activitiy the Anglican mission closed in 1891 and later in 1903 the St Charles mission closed. In the 1960's the buildings were restored and the area around it was made into a park.
